Brief summary of this page: Cannabis or marijuana is one of the most controversial medicinal plants that we know. It has been used as a medicine over thousands of years all over the world. It can have some consciousness altering qualities (becoming 'high') depending on the dose and the initial psychological and physical state of the user and the way it is used.

Used as a tea it is less harmful then coffee, white sugar, or alcohol
When you smoke it pure, it is far less harmful then tobacco, though smoking of course isn't healthy for the lungs.

When you use it for medical purposes, cannabis tea and hemp oil are useful in a wide variety of diseases. (see video's)
The chance of Cannabis addiction is less then with alcohol tobacco or even sugar and tv.

Physical and psychological withdrawal symptoms after abuse or even long standing daily use are moderate and disappear in normal cases within 3 - 5 days. The withdrawel symptoms of abusive smokers are related to the tobacco that they use with the cannabis.
In case of abusive use: Nobody ever died of cannabis abuse even not on the long run.

Cannabis is used in many useful other products and there is evidence that cannabis may be the most nutritional vegetable in the world
